We are happy to be able to offer Qualitative Face Fit Testing services, commonly known as the taste test, which we can tailor to meet your specific needs and requirements, thus ensuring we provide the perfect fit for your business, To enable use to complete this test we will need the masks that you use within your business, this is for ensuring that the mask you use fits the person being tested and they are aware of its correct use. If you change mask manufacturers, you will need to retest employees on the new mask before its use or issues arise.
Face fit testing is a requirement under the HSE and COSHH regulations to ensure you remain compliant, staff must be issued the correct level of PPE for the role they are undertaking as well as having sufficient training and fit testing for its use. Fit testing must be completed by a competent person, and at Event First Aid UK Ltd, we have gone through training and assessment to ensure we understand the process is completed to the highest standard.
As part of the process, we first check to see the sensitivity to the solution used. Once this is completed, we have a break to allow the taste to dissipate. During this time, we guide the individual through the process of fitting the mask, ensuring it is correctly fitted to their face. At this point, we initiate the test process with the mask in situ, performing seven exercises to ensure a secure, snug fit before removing the mask and completing the test.
We offer this service for only £34 per test, with 1 free retest if someone should fail.
We offer group/block booking discounts. We can offer this at our offices or yours for 5 or more tests.
This method is appropriate for FFPs (Single Use) & Half Masks only; for other masks, please look for other testing companies that offer Quantitative testing
All individuals must be clean-shaven on the day of the test and should not have eaten, drunk, chewed gum or smoked/vaped 30 minutes before the test.
